Education and training

On an educational level, the AGAP joint research unit is attached to the International Centre for Higher Education in Agricultural Sciences (Montpellier SupAgro), a major institut under the authority of the Ministry of Agriculture. It hosts around ten lecturers/professors from that institut.

Pooling the skills of the Unit’s different teams makes it possible to combine multidisciplinary forces positioned in different contexts, from initial training (engineer, Masters, PhD) to continuous training and hosting of foreign students and researchers in the laboratories. The disciplinary fields involved are mainly structural and comparative genomics, diversity management and analysis of adaptive mechanisms, bioinformatics and biostatistics, modelling of plant development in line with genetic and environmental constraints, methodology in plant breeding, cell biology and genetic engineering.
