Alice Boizet, new recruit of the UMR Agap Institute

Attached to the bioinformatics platform, Alice joined the DDSE (Dynamics of Diversity, Societies and Environments) team on September 1, 2021, as a web application developer for plant breeding.

After training as an agricultural engineer at Montpellier SupAgro, Alice specialized in new technologies for agriculture and the environment (AgroTIC) and trained in computer development.
She first worked for a software editor for farmers and agribusinesses, as project manager on an application for seed companies. She then joined INRAE for 4 years in order to develop useful applications for agricultural research. Within the MISTEA unit (Mathematical Computer Statistics for Environment and Agriculture), she actively participated in the development of OpenSILEX-PHIS, an information system to manage data from high throughput plant phenotyping experiments.
Integrated in the DDSE team since September 2021, Alice is in charge of the creation and maintenance of web applications dedicated to the follow-up of genetic analysis and breeding programs for CIRAD geneticists and breeders and its partners. Her first mission is to contribute to the development of existing applications (Gigwa, BMS, Florilège...) and to make them interoperable.
