Our organization
Last update: 19 January 2021
The research activities of the Agap Institute joint research unit are organized in 4 thematic clusters centred on scientific topics.
Last update: 19 January 2021
-
Agro-diversity and crop evolutionary dynamics
Understanding how the diversity of cultivated plant species is shaped by evolutionary forces resulting from biological and environmental conditions as well as human activities; optimizing the management, diffusion and use of crop diversity in agrosystems. -
Structure and dynamics of genomes
Develop knowledge on the structure of genomes. To study chromosomal recombination and segregation. To understand genome regulations and to integrate this knowledge for the development of varietal innovations.
-
Plant and stand development and functions
To study the molecular, physiological and eco-physiological mechanisms involved in the development and adaptation of plants and populations. To develop integrative biology approaches to model the phenotypes of plants studied in the unit. -
Genetic determinism and breeding methodologies
To study the genetic determinism of traits of interest for the improvement of the unit's species. To develop and/or improve selection methodologies applicable to these species. To produce and disseminate innovative improved plant material to our partners.
