Job offer: Technician in phenotyping and maintenance of citrus crops in San Giuliano, Corsica, France

Within the UMR AGAP Institute (Genetic Improvement and Adaptation of Mediterranean and Tropical Plants), CIRAD's SEAPAG group is developing a varietal innovation program aimed at producing citrus rootstocks and varieties adapted to the Mediterranean basin and tropical regions.

This work is based on a citrus collection (CRB Citrus) which represents a unique genetic diversity implanted in Corsica and on cognitive research aiming at exploiting this diversity at best.
In this context, CIRAD is recruiting a technician in phenotyping and maintenance of citrus crops. You will be based in Montpellier with an assignment in Corsica at the INRAE station of San Giuliano in the eastern plain.
You will participate in the establishment and maintenance of experimental plots dedicated to varietal innovation. You will follow these plots and you will realize the pomological description as well as the qualitative analysis of fruits during the production season (November-April). You will participate in the pollination campaign in spring. You may be asked to take part in the transversal activities necessary for the good functioning of the San Giuliano station.
