Software Environment for Plant Modeling OpenAlea

Last update: 21 January 2020

The purpose of this platform is to represent, analyse and model the functioning and growth of plant architecture.

The platform is headed by the AGAP unit and the CIRAD - INRIA – INRAE joint research unit and backed by the Institut fédératif de recherche, développement, diversité et adaptation des plantes, phénotypes-gènes (IFR Daphné) and Agropolis Fondation, and provides an open-source environment for the integration of structural and functional models of plants on different scales (modelling of meristems, architecture, geometry, ecophysiology processes). This environment is used by a community of users and may therefore eventually evolve into a platform in the broad sense.
