Within the UMR, as part of the Guadeloupe Molecular Biology platform, your mission will be to contribute to various projects carried out by the Unit's researchers, ranging from variety creation to the characterization and conservation of genetic resources for different species (citrus, yams and bananas). You will contribute to the unit's various projects by carrying out molecular biology analyses for disease monitoring and detection (e.g. Huanglongbing in citrus), support for the elucidation of the genetic determinism of traits of interest (resistance, quality, agronomic performance, etc.), validation of diagnostic markers (SSR, KASP), genotyping (SSR, SNP) of collections and breeding populations, and analysis of the expression of candidate genes.
At the UMR AGAP Institut, you will have access to the technical platforms and facilities in Montpellier, and to training courses on new techniques. You'll be able to progress in your profession throughout your career.
