Job offer: Senior technician specialized in molecular biology
CIRAD is recruiting a senior technician specialized in molecular biology. If you are passionate about genetics and plants, join the AGAP Institute (Genetic Improvement and Adaptation of Plants). Within the UMR, your mission will be shared equally between the genotyping platform and the SEG (Structure and Evolution of Genomes) team.
Come and develop your expertise in genotyping and sequencing and take part in various research projects.
The genotyping platform of the unit is a collective of 5 people whose vocation is to make genotyping and sequencing tools and methods available to the Montpellier scientific community. You will be in charge of the management of an Illumina Miseq sequencer (common research equipment+). You will participate in the development of new methods for the preparation of NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) libraries. You will provide support for the construction of high-throughput sequencing libraries (re-sequencing, capture sequencing, genotyping by sequencing) and for the validation of data quality.
