REGEPE2 : perennial genetic resources in French Guiana

The objective of the REGEPE2 project is to integrate new species for agricultural or forestry purposes into the certified BRC of Guiana's perennial plants.

Date de début de projet

01/01/2022

Date de fin du projet

30/06/2023

Objectives

In particular, we will introduce two endogenous species: rosewood and cassava, and exogenous species such as Aquilaria spp. In this way, we will create a genuine platform for the conservation, evaluation and use of the biodiversity of tropical perennial and forest plants in French Guiana for their use in agroforestry and in the development of high value-added agricultural sectors.
