Whether in medicine or in agronomy, the understanding of biological mechanisms of traits of interest is an important objective. In this objective, the project ISULO proposes the development of innovative statistical methods to identify relevant variables, from various types of -omic datasets, involved in important processes and to estimate their relations within one – omic dataset but also between different types of -omic datasets.

IFC-CORYNESPORA : Study of the Hevea/Corynespora pathosystem
The Corynespora Leaf Fall (CLF) disease caused by the fungus C. casssiicola causes severe leaf damages on rubber trees, in most of the major Asian and African growing areas. The objective of the IFC-CORYNESPORA program is to identify the main pathotypes of the fungus, and the rubber clones most sensitive to these pathotypes, in order to avoid the development of clones carrying a significant epidemic risk.

We study the genetic basis of crop adaptation taking into account natural selection and anthropogenic impacts, and exploiting recent availability of large sets of data on genomic diversity among cultivars and their wild relatives
-
AMAZCACAO : Past and present cocoa domestication in upper Amazonia of Ecuador
A multidisciplinary analysis based on genetic, palaeogenetic, biochemical and economic approaches, is being conducted to better understand the history of ancient domestication.and exploit the biodiversity of cocoa trees from the Ecuadorian Amazon

TROPICSAFE: Insect-borne prokaryote-associated diseases in tropical and subtropical perennial crops
Tropicsafe project addresses different important infectious diseases (lethal yellowing in palms, yellows in grapevines, and huanglongbing in citrus) focusing on tropical and subtropical areas in nine different regions of Africa, America, Caribbean and Europe
-
SolACE: Solutions for improving Agroecosystem and Crop Efficiency for water and nutrient use
SolACE goal is to help European agriculture facing major challenges, notably increased rainfall variability and reduced use of N and P fertilizers for both economic and ecological purposes
-
MALIN aims at improving the control of human, animal and plant infectious diseases in Guadeloupe and the Caribbean. The project consortium includes partners involved in research, surveillance and control of such diseases in Guadeloupe and beyond, and develops a multidisciplinary approach associating microbiology, epidemiology, entomology and socio-economy.
